TSR option in F11 box 17/09/2012 at 12:55 #35649

The TSR option in the F11 box is a wonderful feature but I would like to make a few suggestions to improve it:

1)Mouse button should be provided like in the other tabs to find specific track circuits and sub-routes/points.At present you need to find the location by first going to the TC failure tab, then memorise the number and then go back to the TSR tab and do the needful.I think the same will be required for the sub-routes by going to the points tab.

2)Some way of high-lighting the affected track-section/sub-route could be devised, either by using the basic Simsig high-lighting which is used for "hard-wired" TSRs at startup or by providing automatic yellow boxes with the speed indication and termination location.Although I think this may be absent because in the real panels, they probably use post-its.

I also could not understand how to determine the exact meters in the subroute option-From--To.

Khalid.

Hi Khalid

I have a feeling that in your second suggestion you may have picked up the wrong end of the stick in that I am only aware that the high-lights on the sims at the start are in connection with engineers possessions rather than temporary speed restrictions. The only TSR information I have seen appear on a sim run is in the F7 telex box.

You have to get a red before you can get any other colour

Ahh,yes sorry about that.I'll rephrase the suggestion as a means to high-light the affected track section in a manner similar to that provided for possessions at startup. The high-lighting itself could be made optional and left to the player/host to display or not.The check-box for that can be in the TSR box itself.
