It is well worth visiting one of the UK's most scenic preserved railways. As well as the stunning scenery there are 5 operational boxes with an interesting mix of equipment both in the boxes themselves and on the ground. A couple of special events a year also include some vintage road transport. For Karl's benefit I have chosen a shot with the award winning Wickham rather than a Kettle (his terminology not mine!). You can see some pictures of the signalling and special events on my FlickR site. http://www.flickr.com/photos/llangollen_signalman/collections/72157626683899072/ If there is enough interest then I'm sure a behind the scenes visit can be arranged on a date next year for the SimSig community. In the event you visit on your own it is a very friendly railway and most signalmen at the Station Boxes will allow visits if there are no operational issues on the day - please always knock and ask first.
