Does anyone know if there is a set of instructions on the wiki? I have been trying to teach myself to edit it in order to put the Absolute Block pictures into the North Wales Coast manual, but have still got a couple of things I cannot work out, such as how to format tables, and how to put text in bold without destroying the table. I have therefore had to put in a couple of compromise formats which I do not personally like. I was trying to get it to look as much like the PDF manual that I originally wrote for the sim as possible. Log in to reply |

WIKI syntax This link should be visible in the header of the edit page in the WIKI. Some bits take a bit to get your head round, don't be afraid to ask for help. I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either. Last edited: 22/11/2012 at 12:17 by AndyG Log in to reply |

Thanks Andy, that helps a lot. Do you have any idea how I can align the text to the left in a table where it wraps over onto a second line? I am specifically looking at the scenarios table. Log in to reply |

" said:Thanks Andy, that helps a lot.Try using "\\space" to force a line break at a suitable point, and 2 spaces at the right hand side of cell. Edit: Have tweaked a couple of cells in the scenario tabulation for you. I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either. At the point you wish to force a new line within a cell put in a double back-slash (\\) followed by a space. If you look at the Carlisle manual there is a list of GFs in the Known Bugs section which has the affected routes split over 2 lines in one of the cells. In the section on tables in the Wiki syntax there is a bit about text justification within the cells. Specifically "You can align the table contents, too. Just add at least two whitespaces at the opposite end of your text: Add two spaces on the left to align right, two spaces on the right to align left and two spaces at least at both ends for centered text.
