How do I signal a train in this case a light engine movement into Upperby Yard?

Do I just click on the F in the roundel underneath the Run Round and then set a route from CE271 into the yard?

Just confused at the moment,

from 271 to upperby yard is a straight forward route to set in the normal way,

you havent clarified TT but if its the 79 TT, it runs down to bridge jcn, you then need to free AND operate the groundframe (935) operating both levers. when he calls in, give him authority to proceed.

Yes it's the 1979 timetable, I just couldn't work out what to do...

I assume in order to operate the ground lever 935 you have to click in the "F" roundell which is what I did. The result of this action is that the roundell flashes. Is this correct and if yes, how long do you need to wait as I have been waiting 10 minutes noww and the roudell is still flashing and no levers have yet appeared?

You then need to click on the "Show" and go to "Lever Frames" and "Upperby run round" anbd operate the ground frame

As a matter of interest, how did you solve this problem in your run-through which led to your postings on 01/12/12 about problems with 5M70, as 5M70 is a couple of hours after this movement?

Thanks for Carlisle, nice Sim but very busy timetable. Small note - not AT ALL obvious there's a run round GF at Upperby - yes there is a GF roundel but none of the usual sigs accompanying, even when you use the GF buttons, they normally light off. perhaps some small text in the manual. The timetabled locos for run round make no mention of using the runround either.
Perhaps add a text on the panel regarding ?

The GFs found on the Carlisle sim appear pretty much as you would find them on a real signalling installation. I also diliberately left out automation of trains getting out and into sidings because of the complications that could arise.

certainly a note in the manual is possible, but adding notes to the panel detracts from the realism captured by putting/omitting everything in the right place including the SLU lengths (note several platforms SLU lengths are not listed, as on the real panel). I think perhaps its just a case of "getting to know the patch". i tend to find part of the fun with a new sim is ballsing everything up and learning from it on a sharp curve
