I've noticed the same issue described in this post in reference to the original CScot release. When a route is set from CE47 to CC51 and the full overlap is not available a warner route is set up. If CE47 changes to yellow as a train approaches then a route is set from CC51 onwards, CE47 briefly reverts to red (resulting in an ACOA) then to double yellow or green. I've not checked if the issue exists in CScot. Planotransitophobic! Log in to reply |

The same thing happens in Central Scotland Vr3.238.2 It would appear that C/O/A is caused by the set of points between the Down E+G and the DPL moving from reverse to normal. It may not be a bug but actually exist in the interlocking as a "Design Fault". There are couple of places on the Victoria ASC area where this happens notably Herne Hill and Crofton Road Jn. In the case of Crofton road Jn where an Special box instruction has been issued to avoid a change of aspect by setting the route in a particular order.

To the best of my knowledge they should not do that and I think I have a fix - to test - the step up conditions are too lax: "is the onward route set?" would be better to be "is the signal at a proceed aspect?". Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Peter, To test this set the route from CC235 signal on the DPL to CQ35 on the Down E+G.Then set from CE47 to CC51 on the Down Main which bring the warner route in.Then destroy the route from CC235 to CQ35. Wait until an approaching train triggers the approach control on the warner route from CE47 and it shows one yellow then set the route from CC51 to CQ35 and this will give you your change of aspect on CE47 the while points move from reverse to normal. Well, in the latest Cowlairs release warner routes don't change into normal routes at all even if the next signal is showing proceed. I would expect it to change into a normal route if an onward route is set AND the overlap of the normal route is clear.
