I'm running a simulation in 2000s mode, and have wound up with a herd of goods trains on the Upperby up goods. Trains will not approach sig CE482 as they are being held at UG1. I can talk them past, but I'm wondering why they're being held there.

Kingmoor not Upperby? Can't answer your problem, though. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

UG1 is a signal that belongs to Kingmoor which allows trains to enter in the up direction into the sim. There should be no reason why trains are being held there except for, perhaps a track circuit failure or delayed train.

Have a look in the Train List (F2). It may give you a clue as to what train may be causing the delay.

Or post a saved game from the time before you talked the first one past in case Tom can identify the problem from that.

Of course I mean Kingsmoor - apologies. I'm not sure I have a saved game from a suitable time, but there may be a snapshot - I'll look. I have quite a large screen and keep the train list open permanently, and there's nothing in there to explain it other than the train stuck at UG1. Also the TC at signal CE482 appears unoccupied. One fact that may be salient is that I tried to route a following train into the OTW section when it was occupied, and later cancelled it. Log in to reply |
