Have just been dealing with this empty DMU move, which is supposed to reverse at Petteril Bridge Jcn after running out from P2 at Carlisle (en-route to stabling overnight in S1 back in the station). What I can't quite figure out is where exactly it's supposed to reverse! I'd have thought it would have to pass CE403 before using the crossover to return to CE402 and thence to London Road Jcn, but when I tried to do this it stopped at short of 403 and reported it was waiting at a signal with a 4 digit number I couldn't locate. Instructions to shunt forward to pass the signal and clear the crossover led to it returning wrong line back towards London Rd! Where therefore am I going wrong? One other problem I had was getting a phone call from Muirhouse LC for an abnormal load to cross in 2000s mode when said crossing isn't in Carlisle's control area (it is in 1980s mode, being on what was the single section to Annan that nowadays is under the supervision of Dumfries box). Is this a bug?

I believe you need to set the route from CE407 to CE402. It then reverses using CE404.

Try CE407 to CE402

Signal CE407 has a subsidiary signal associated with it, so the route would be displayed to the driver as two white dots. This is because the move is subsidiary signal to subsidiary signal, and he wouldn't see the main aspect come off for it.

Just dealing with the train involved in this very move right now - 5N51. Timetable shows a brief stop at London Road Jn, probably for the overlap to drop out, then Reverse CE402 (surprise it isn't CE404, as it is (right?) in other simulations). However, 5N51 has just called me from CE408, which is at Carlisle South Jn, instead of calling in from CE407 where he has a route set for him to CE402 for the reverse as booked. edited to add this line of text And now he's just called in from CE402 instead of CE404. Sim bugs, or just timetable issues? Perhaps the TT needs the timing point at London Road Jn. listed as a passing time?
