Hello all,

This timetable was approved for download earlier (I wrote it, but AndyG kindly submitted it for me): Click Here For Download Page

The timetable has been laying dormant on my hard drive for a few months and I originally wrote it due to various interesting workings and closures, but after the interest shown in Steamers 2013 Sunday WTT for Saltley, I thought I'd make a simple starter timetable for Exeter available for download.

Basically the passenger workings are real life from Sunday November 18th 2012, most of the non passenger workings are semi fictional or fully fictional, although the Barnstaple branch north of Crediton was closed to passenger traffic in real life too.

The TT never gets swamped with trains, and I feel it's ideal for people new to Exeter, who want to get to grips with the sim. The interesting workings might make it fun for old hands at a faster speed too.

Items of note:

As mentioned above the Crediton branch is closed to passenger trains north of Crediton.

Cross Country services are running via Castle Cary due to engineering works.

FGW services towards Bristol end at Weston-super-Mare for the same reason.

The FGW sleepers are running via Honiton, and the locos thus have to run around at Exeter St Davids.

A Railhead Treatment Train (RHTT) is running around in the latter part of the TT.

I hope you enjoy playing the TT as much as I enjoyed making it!

I have been enjoying SimSig for a while now and managing, with help occasionally, to find out how to get around any minor problems I have come up against. However I am currently improving my skills using the Exeter Sunday Evening November 2012 timetable and have hit a snag that I think you may be able to help me with. After 2F29 (2055 Paignton - Exmouth) has arrived at Exeter St Davids I get a "Waiting at red signal 437" message but the service is supposed to go via the correctly set signal 160. Is there a tweak I can do to sort this out?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I'm not able to physically test it at the moment, but you could try using the 'Reverse Train' option available by right clicking on the train's entry in the F2 train list.

Thanks for the reply. Setting Reverse Train illustrated what had been staring me in the face and I hadn't realised. The sim thought the train had no yet passed Teignmouth even though it was quoting the Exeter signal number. It gave me an option to bypass Teignmouth and continue. All I needed to do was set Exeter as the current/next location and it worked fine. Sorry to have been so stupid.

Teignmouth and Dawlish are in the incorrect order in 2F29's schedule, which is causing the train not to realise that it has arrived at Exeter and needs to reverse.
