Hi,

I'm running the diesel day tt for the Llangollen SimSig, I'm starting run the last services of the day and the above train 2L12 is supposed to have it's loco detach at Llangollen and form 0L12A which runs round train 2L12 to form 5L12 for the river siding and loco 0L12A then goes to shed.

But on the run round 0L12A won't attach to train 2L12 in the station it just states waiting for joining train 0l12A for the stock and 2L12 for the loco.

Can someone shed light on this please

Ben

Have you tried shunting the loco forward so that it's definitely next to the stock? You may have to reverse the loco's direction.

got it.

2L12 is listed as DF:0L12A J:OL12A.

correct the join to the correct headcode and you should have some success.

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Hi,

I've tried the above fix but still no joy. Could some one explain exactly how you do this please as I may have done it wrong. I have my sim saved at the point before 2L12 divides if that helps.

The train doesn't seem to be in one of the default timetables so I haven't done this myself, but to edit as per above:

F2 > right click the train's TD > Timetable Options > Edit Timetable > go into Location List tab > click location with the join > click Edit > click the activity in the activity box so it is highlighted > click Edit Activity > amend the TD in Train ID box > click OK for all boxes.

Now the train will be waiting for the right mate. If required, shunt one of the two trains forward so they're right next to each other.

If you could upload the saved game (using the "Attachments" box showing at the bottom of the text box when you use the "Reply" or "Quote" button but not available if you use "Quick Reply"someone will be able to follow things through and work out what is causing the problem.

The TT for 2L12 needs to be edited before the loco detaches at Llangollen Station. Ensure when "Edit Activity" that you select the train id (0L12A) from the "Pick train ID" box. Do not type it in!

I did this edit above and It worked so was able to finish the TT.

Can I change the joining train for 2L12 so I haven't got to change the head code to match part way through the sim in the future.

Open the Timetable Editor (F4), find the train on the list and make the edit. Then click 'Timetable' (top left, in the same window as the clock), Save as. Follow the dialogue boxes, and the timetable will be saved.
