I was surprised to only find this at Marylebone so far and in particular not at Aylesbury. I've had a look at the manual and have noted that routes might be set by ARS up to 10 minutes in advance of booked time at Princes Risborough but can't see any reference to this for Aylesbury Station (unless of course it is staring me in the face). I might also have expected to see it for High Wycombe but I might not have had a train there yet which needs it. Is this the case in practice and if so does the signaller need to step in if a departing train is going to be held for some reason? (P.S. Marylebone is the only place in real life with TRTS. I'll add the advance routesetting times for locations to the manual. Yes, you'll need to either put a reminder on the appropriate signal or turn off the ARS subarea if you know a train will be late departing.

Is there any sort of map showing which buttons activate or deactivate ARS in their respective area/line?

One of those things to keep the signaller on his toes and prove that operating an IECC with ARS in real life isn't as simple as it might seem. I recall from a visit to Sandhills that there were some movements at Liverpool Central which the signaller needed to keep a close eye on to avoid delays. Log in to reply |
