I would suggest that once a client takes over a particular area,a miniature train-list(which shows trains only in the client's area)should be enabled which would give almost the same permissions as the in the full train list like passing a signal at danger.However,abandoning the TT and extreme measures may be retained by the host.Alternatively,it may be left to the host to transfer powers to the client selectively. Passing signals at danger can be done by waiting for the train to phone in at the signal. The function I think would be fairly useful to enable for clients would be the Incident Report list (F7) which tells you what trains are delayed and for how long. I would imagine it would be a fairly simple change for Geoff and Clive as well due to there being no actual user functionality from that page, it is just a list. I also think it would be beneficial for clients to be able to operate ground frames themselves. I know it has been discussed during multiplayer games I have been involved in, but cannot see anything on the bug board regarding this. I am however slightly reluctant to log such things as last time I did someone gave me grief for doing so as it had already been logged before and I just couldn't find it. As someone who hosts now and again, but used to a lot more often, I personally would not want clients to be able to do too much tinkering with timetables. The way I look at it is that the host is effectively "Control" and in the modern day signalmen do not go about modifying timetables without permission from Control anyway, so there is no harm in the host doing it. On the top of it this dosen't seem like a bad idea. I like the idea of being able to let another client have the benefits of the host should the host choose. I could picture this being of use during a long multi player session, where the host may want to do something for a minute, and not be available to solve any issues which may arise. In a large multi player, this may also help to take pressure off the host. Just my thoughts there. Going back to the idea of a 24 hour game that was mooted a couple of months back, this would definitely help with that, as well as being more generally helpful.
