In Temple Meads hosting today 25/1, running Underwood's 2012 TT, a request was asked of the host to run 5K11 early. He said he adjusted 5K11's TT to pass Crinklewood (ticked box) and had the train shunt forward to get it moving. The train moved off and ran at 15 mph all the way to St Albans. Should the train not have resumed normal speed after passing signal 241? Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Temple Meads |

Should the train not have resumed normal speed after passing signal 241?If I recall correctly one of the foibles of the core code is that a train advised to shunt forward to kick start it into action will run at reduced speed until the next time it is stopped (TT'd stop or waiting at R) after which normal service is resumed. To get it moving without this happening, abandon the TT briefly till the train starts moving then reinstate to TT. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Temple Meads |
