I'd just like to express my gratitude, and to acknowledge the hard work of Geoff, the testers, timetable writers and all concerned for the development of these excellent and entirely unforeseen sims.

As a local lad who started his railway career on the platforms at Sutton before skiving off to hide behind a desk at Victoria Eastern, I'd always hoped that one day one or the other would be released - I never expected both at once! Plus the merciful inclusion of ARS makes two potentially labour intensive sims more relaxed and entirely manageable.

Thanks for all the happy hours of Simsiging that await me!

Thanks for the kind comments. It seems we can keep a secret sometimes!

In terms of sim development it has certainly been one of the most complicated with its numerous fringes to Central as well as other signalboxes. A lot of fun to run though.

Oh, and what's more, a few of the recent West Hampstead public hostings have been chained to Victoria Eastern, unbeknownst to the clients on WH! The only clue that something unusual was going on was when trains for Smithfield Sidings inadvertently got signalled towards Farringdon.

I wouyld also like to pass on my thanks for the release of Victoria Central and Victoria South Eastern. I also never forsaw these being released but having played a beta sim that had some signals with "VC" prefixes I had always wondered what "VC" was. Now I know!

Well done all.

Dave

Many thanks to those involved in these sims. I used to live in Swanley and worked for Southern.

The thanks seconded! Two very intricate and I'm sure well executed sims. Of course, they have come out just before some big university exams so I really have to delay purchasing them otherwise I have no hope of passing...

Thank you very much for the Victoria Sim. I visited London Victoria Power Box in 1991 and 1995 and have very fond memories of the place. I couldn't use my Paypal account quick enough to get these sims and I haven't even worried about the exchange rate. Well done to all involved.

Echoing the many thanks; not familiar with the area at all but that won't stop me trying!

Incidentally, when looking for the simulation manuals I discovered that there is a #TBA in the 'Midland' section - more surprises to come, perhaps?

There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

Like John, been a sarf landaner I have now recovered from falling off my chair after the sneaky SimSig developers dealt us with these amazing curveballs!

Obviously knowing the rest of Three Bridges and London Bridge are at some stage of development to have both of the Victoria's released come out of the blue is fantastic.

I would like to thank Geoff, the other developers and testers for the magnificent South of the river developments with these and certainly at first glance you can to the quality and the effort that has been put into them. I can only imagine how many sleepless nights were had regarding all of those chaining locations.

Thanks again and now time to put together some even challenging timetables to go with them...You know you love it when I put in all those rules regarding late running trains really especially with local knowledge

Time once again for the coverage map to be updated.
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.

I'd take a guess that it's a work in Progress. Possible

Sims which are still under development. Syston - Kettering via Oakham is dashed magenta/red, because it would make sense for it to be included in Leicester (just as the Coalville line is shared between Leicester and Derby simulations), however I have no idea whether it'll actually be included.

The last preview of Leicester (at the Derby Meet in 2011) had the line via Oakham included, however I haven't seen any updates to the sim since then.
