1S03 0047 Walsall Tasker St - Aberdeen seems to split at Law Jn. 1S03-1 now happily on its way to Aberdeen. Light engine 0H03 came from Mossend to attach to rear portion to form 1H03-A and duly coupled up. My query is that timings on ARS pop up info show it as 0510 Law Jn to Mossend DR4 whilst train description here (and on F2 train list) describe it as 0607 Mossend to Inverness... Have read through manual and forum fully this time - don't wish to make a fool of myself again! Will make a save here and see what happens. Any thoughts? Log in to reply |

" said:1S03 0047 Walsall Tasker St - Aberdeen seems to split at Law Jn.Haven't got the sim open and didn't write the TT, so shooting from the lip, but IIRC the train goes into Mossend for a crew change and reappears as 0607 Mossend - Inverness. One of the perils of TT writing is that you often start with a limited set of information and have to make some assumptions. Later, someone else involved with the pre-release testing can give you additional gen which negates your assumptions. I think in this case the original assumption was that 1S03 split at Mossend but later gen showed that the split was at Law Jn. In effect the description is a typo and has no effect on the actual running of the train. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Last edited: 22/02/2014 at 00:59 by postal Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Pinza |

Thanks for that Postal. Wrongly described 1H03 portion now safely in Mossend DR4 - will stay up another half hour to see whether it reappears to continue to Inverness or just disappears! On the subject of typos - 4M41 Mossend to Daventry shows correctly as departing from Euroterminal in F2 screen but Euroteminal in pop up ARS timings (missing an R) - Hmm - used to be a proofreader! Loving this sim - my favourite so far. Log in to reply |

Stayed up (way too late ) to see if 1H03 reappeared at Mossend at 0607 to match its description. No - it ran the 'unadvertised portion' from Law Jn to Mossend and then died! Log in to reply |

However, its entry is governed by a rule that it must not enter until 40 minutes after 1H03-A leaves the sim. If 1H03-A was late in arriving at Mossend, did you allow enough time for the 40 minute rule to work its way through before deciding that the next portion was not going to enter? “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Too busy to answer the telephone. When I did I was rather embarrassed to find onward 1H03 being offered up at MB305 signal by Mossend DY foreman. And I started this thread by saying I didn't want to make a fool of myself again Sorry all! Log in to reply |
