Over the past couple of months I've been slowly working on a January 2014 TT for Gloucester, well it's now been uploaded and approved; you can download it here: http://www.SimSig.co.uk/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=254&func=fileinfo&id=692

It's based on a Thursday in January 2014, with data taken from Real Time Trains, with help from a few other sites where required.

Please report any bugs or errors on this thread, the only thing I'm aware of is that the sim will not hold freights booked to wait at Cofton, so when this happens you may need to loop said freights at Blackwell to avoid delay to other trains.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoy the timetable!

Cheers Tim

I'm not experienced with Gloucester, being a Southern Fan, but will give this one a crack and report back to you at some point.

Cheers

Andrew

I'm enjoying testing your 2014 TT

I think 4V59 should be train type "Coal Empties" rather than "Coal" and hence run at 75mph rather than 60.

Good spot, thanks :)

I've added it to my bug list, if there's a few more found then I'll probably release an update.

Up late playing Motherwell sim to the end - now finished.

Keen to play a new/current TT and spotted this now available.

Didn't have Gloucester installed and then found issues with main desktop computer not wanting to access the internet - Grrhh!

Hey, ho - circumnavigated this by downloading files to laptop and copying across by USB stick.

Sim and your TT seem to have loaded up okay on main computer. Must a-bed now but look forward to testing your new TT over the weekend.

Many thanks.
Chris

Gloucester Sim now installed and Tim's new TT working.

No criticism of the TT, but finding the Gloucester sim mind-blowing:

ie I was brought up to read maps with East to the right and West to the left.

So finding Swindon, Bristol and Newport (Westerly directions) on the right of the map and Birmingham on the left is very confusing!

Bit like reading a map upside down!

Need bed now and am sure I will I enjoy new TT once I've trained brain to think in reverse of what is logical!

You say that, but it's the same orientation as all the sims it chains to! (London to the right)

Aye, this has caught me out on a couple of sims, although I played SimSig Gloucester before visiting the real station, so I got a bit disorientated in real life

(As an aside there quite are a few locations where I get/got confused with direction in real life, I think I must have a poor internal compass!)

Speaking of disorientated, it seems the locals at Gloucester are disorientated as well, I've just got this when testing this timetable...

Hi Tim

I have struck a problem at Gloucester as below:

2G50 was running early so berthed behind 2G80. It has however stopped short of Platform 4 for its Gloucester Stop. I see you have listed Gloucester Platform 4 as needing a stopping location "Near End Exact". I'm assuming this is due to 2G80. I'm not certain where 5G80 berthed on P4 and whether it blocked 2G50 fully berthing on the Platform.

Something to look at?

Cheers

Andrew

When I first started working at Bristol Panel it took me a while to get used to a train outside the window passing left-to-right going right-to-left on the panel. Of course, if the panel was geographically accurate it would be a very strange shape!

Hi Andrew, yes there's evidently something amiss there, I think 5G80 has probably run too far down the platform to allow 2G50 in.

I'd recommend anyone reading this who hasn't got to that stage in the TT yet to hold 2G50 outside the station until 2G80 departs, or have a play around with 5G80's stopping position.

Struggling with 5M02 0505 Gloucester CS to Gloucester Plat 2 reversing at signal 446.

5M02 seems to leave sig 417 (CS) with no route to sig 446.

Routed it via Old Yard and lost it - error on my behalf or the TT?

Either way, enjoying seeing what current operations are in this area - many thanks.

EDIT: Ignore all above - 5M02 reappearred at sig 423 after 'black hole' of Old Yard and all is well!
