Could someone help me on this problem. 5S03/5S04 are shown to go to Mossend Down Yard and routed into DR4. But i have found DGL, DR1, DR2 but no DR3 or DR4. Can anyone one tell me where is DR3 and DR4. Thank you. I have had a look at the different eras. Time table is August 2006/ 2000 does have DR3/DR4, but in 1980/1990 eras it does not have DR3 or DR4.

They should be immediately below 'DOWN REC2'

You need to request and be given slot ARR4 before a route can be set.

No you are right they aren't, however shouldn't you be using the 2000 version for the 2006 timetable...

I have not played the 2000 version yet. I have only played the 1980/1990 version.

The 2006 timetable will only run correctly in the 2000 era (as this is what the timetable is based on). The timetable will not run correctly on the 1980 and 1990 eras due to the differing track layout.

It's always a good idea to run the timetable in the era it has been written for. Trains which are timetabled to run over routes which were not in existence in the earlier period (e.g. the entire Larkhall branch in this case) may not validate and will not appear. This may result in joins you are waiting to occur failing because one of the trains did not enter the area. Not too much of an issue with this timetable - the Larkhalls just don't appear and you probably didn't notice (and also missed out on the 'fun' they can cause at Newton!) But lets imagine that Scotrail decide to start running the Glasgow Central to Newton services through to Larkhall, someone writes a SimSig tt to reflect this. If you ran it in the 1990 era no trains would appear between Kings Park and Newton.

You may also encounter confusing timetable entries which refer to locations which do not exist in that era (such as the Mossend DR4 issue you've already encountered).

I have routed 5S03/5S04 into Mossend Down Yard and they have entered ok, but it then says "Train routed from planned path". I have set route through DR1 or DR2.

Of course it will say it's off planned path, the planned path is DR4 which doesn't exist because you're playing the sim in completely the wrong era for the timetable selected.
"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

"Off planned path" simply means the TD has appeared in a TD berth that ARS was not expected to be in (the planned berth) and the ARS does not know what to do with it (the planned path). It does not necessarily mean that the train is in the wrong place in the bigger picture.
