" said:" said:I will work on incorporating that into the next revision of the TT3) Self inflicted - failed to realise that I needed trains like 2K02 (0600 ex Swindon) to be authorised to enter a Goods Only line.I mentioned this one before in another thread where Max was talking about class 2 trains going into Alphington Road Siding (Exeter sim). One solution is to edit the TT of every class 2 train that has to access a goods siding or line (Kemble Siding, Cocklebury Sidings, Rover) and tick the "use freight linespeeds" tick box in the "train characteristics" tab. This will stop the driver questioning the route. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Pinza |

Slightly off-topic - in as much as it doesn't relate to this TT or geographical area, but found this link on noticeboard at work today which does relate to this era and sounds an interesting weekend of WW2 re-enactment on the Great Central Railway: http://www.gcrailway.co.uk/special-events/1940s-wartime-event/ Unsure as to whether to post here or start a new thread? Hey, ho - thought it might be of interest anyway. Log in to reply The following users said thank you: Soton_Speed, hotwellian |

I've found one small inconvenience - the locos hauling the empty vans into Thingley yard (eg. 0P50) have their entry time specified, which makes them susceptible to delay. This means I now have a train at Chippenham without its loco (the loco that hauled it in departed to Swindon - is that even possible, to leave some vans on the running lines?) the loco that's supposed to pull it into Thingley Yard is 50 minutes late and I only have a single line between Thingley Jn and Wootton Bassett. I suggest these trains' entry should be governed only by rules, with entry time set to --:--. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: hotwellian |

" said:" said:Has the issue been resolved of being unable to set a route (in the Loader version of the sim) from Swindon Parcels (and also from the Down Goods & Transfer Sidings) past the LOS (277) on the Down Main in order to access the Up Main at Bourton? As mentioned above, you can do it in the '.exe' version as 277 is a signal not a LOS, so a route can be set from it to signal 681 and then to the Up Main via signal 683. Which is correct, the Loader version or the '.exe' version?Quote:Not quite unfortunately. Up parcel trains cannot access the Down Main from Swindon Parcels to Bourton. No problem with the 'exe' version. This has been reported. This TT has not been tested on the SwinDid loader version as that doesn't work very well on my antiquated XP system.Works fine as a loader version as far as I can see! if 0W17 is the loco for 6W17 then a rule will be needed to prevent them being on screen together. I used that as an example but could apply to all loco's heading to Thingley Yard. how is the update going? mentioned in August 2014. Log in to reply |
