Sadly, it's quite difficult to work out what's happened until you describe how you got into this situation! A saved game (or maybe even two, before and after) also tend to be helpful. However, assuming that this isn't a bug, I would hazard a guess that it's caused by asking a driver to pass a signal at danger with the points set incorrectly. Log in to reply |

I know what the problem is and how to fix it, but can't understand why as there was nothing "fixed" in that area. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

" said:I know what the problem is and how to fix it, but can't understand why as there was nothing "fixed" in that area.Assuming you're talking about there being a distinct lack of buffer stops at Newton East Jn, I seem to recall that the only difference between "Run out of valid track" and "Buffer Stops" is just a setting to change what text is shown? I had the same problem as Chilternman. I eventually had to remove the train, only for the same problem to arise with the following train. Aubrey Log in to reply |

Came across this bug myself today now, and it certainly means that it's unplayable. I must question why there has not been a patch to fix this since being reported. I don't mind paying for sims, but when something like this is reported. it does annoy me (and I'm sure others as well) for it not to be fixed as a priority. One also assumed that when the loader was introduced, it would speed up patches for a situation like this. Why has this not happened? Manual has been updated with v4.2.2 being available (via Loader update.) Presumably just waiting for the appropriate buttons being pushed for the new version being available in the loader?

What makes you think I've not been dealing with it as a priority? Equating time to fix with prioritising is not necessarily a linear equation. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

And it also appears that the same bug is present in when routing trains from Newton P2 onto the Up Hamilton. This means that it is impossible to send any train in the up direction from Newton, making the sim completely unplayable. A test save has been included for reference. Lucas Post has attachments. Equating time to fix with prioritising is not necessarily a linear equation.Just a thought here, but why not make the older version available again. I know there are bugs within the sim, however, at least none of these are ones that put an absolute stop to playing a sim. I don't really want to say this, but going to anyway, but if the problem isn't fixed, you may well end up with people asking for refunds as the product sold is not fit for purpose James Log in to reply The following user said thank you: 320322 |

Problem was fixed quickly and a number of consequential and other issues identified and also dealt with. However, Geoff has been away these past few days and he controls the releases/reversions etc. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Let me ask you a question now, but why couldn't an updated functional sim file have been uploaded via the forum for example, even if for a couple days until it could be officially re-released? Sorry for delay and mix up - I understand it's now available as an update 4.2 => 4.2.2 [or 4.1 => 4.2.2] Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Last edited: 12/05/2014 at 21:39 by Peter Bennet Log in to reply The following users said thank you: sandy221, alangla |
