I thought it was very good. Looking back at the clips of the Victoria Line being built the H&S bods would have a field day today. They were basically building it in shorts and wellies!!

How things change!

Fascinating programme. A bit hairy when they had to do the 'eye of the needle' between the trains and escalator at the Tube station. Can't help wondering how much more can be excavated from under London before the whole lot subsides!

From the title of this thread I thought this was somewhere in Croatia... :silly:* Maybe the OP or a mod could correct this.

The actual title of this 3-part BBC2 documentary is The Fifteen Billion Pound Railway. Although BBC iPlayer is not available to viewers down under, rest assured the series is accessible via other well-known avenues.

Is it just me struggling to see how Welshdragon got the name of the program wrong?
Only difference I see is that max has linked to the program information with the name, where as Welshdraggon linked the iplayer page.

I saw it but thought it was a bit dumbed down and repetitive, cutting back and forward covering the same point over and over again.

I was referring to the typo in the title of the thread, not in the original post. Thanks for correcting it. Agree it's padded out in places, but I found it really interesting and am looking forwards to the remaining episodes. At least it doesn't try to be as sensationalistic in the way many American documentaries are. I only wish we could achieve something like this in Melbourne.
