I have the slot for 6V78 to run to Acton Canal Wharf, and it has come to a stand at signal 822. the sim is insisting points are locked reverse by another route, but I have cancelled all obvious conflicting routes

Also experiencing this issue with several trains. Believe there may be a minor bug in the sim, but feel free to correct me if wrong. Also, in the default TT, several class 1 royal mail trains call in complaining they're being routed onto a goods line, even though they're booked there. Apologies if it is just myself making mistakes, but it would be much appreciated if someone could have a look into it. Thanks, Jamie. Log in to reply |

The goods line bug was fixed in the latest version of the loader. Have you clicked "check for updates" on the loader front screen? The Acton issue is new and certainly wasn't present when the timetable was tested earlier this week. Any chance of a save from someone experiencing issues. Noisynoel Log in to reply |

Save file is from 4.1.2 which is the correct version of the Loader. It is also fairly unlikely that so many users, especially at least one experienced one, would all fail to update the loader. Just playing with the save game attached to this thread, there is a definite bug here. The slot has been granted by ACW, all the points are in the correct position, but when attempting to set a route it states that points are locked in the opposite position in the message box. My guess is that the points concerned are some off-sim ones at ACW. Ticket number 11155 applies. Log in to reply |

its probably worth adding that 924 and 1198 are also affected by this, so I would support Stephens Theory that this is off scene.

Can confirm have had the same issue with 6V78. Lastest Uploader installed, points locked, slot obtained, states that a set of pointsin another route are locked reverse. Only way out with a route setting failure, set points for route concerned and flag train passed the signal. However, when performing this task, 6V78 goes around towards Acton Canal Wharf but stops on ACW21 and sits there forever more! Professionalism mean nothing around a bunch of Amateur wannabees! Does the train list say "points set against train" when the train stands at ACW?

Sorry didn't look. However just come across another issue in the same area. Trying to put 1j84 into The Euroterminal from 822 signal, again slot has been obtained and route won't set. This time it states points are locked NORMAL by another route (as opposed to REVERSE when trying to set from 822 to Acton Canal Wharf). Can confirm the above issue does occur with the Public release. Mr Fulcher has posted this on the internal bug board. Log in to reply |

I just joined a sim. 6L51 sat in SW sidings. The loco appeared (0L51) but was unable to signal the loco onto the train, kept getting Subroute locked in opposite direction, despite setting the route in the opposite direction and cancelling it

it seems to be related to the Single Ended set of points from the down line onto the branch, as the sim claims that "points locked by <current position of that set of points>" i found this out by manually operating each set of points in the route.

" said:Identified and fixed; update once I've rolled a few other things in.Hi Geoff Could this same problem affect routing from 822/1198 to the Euroterminal (after a slot is given)? I'm getting the same route locking message from both signals but can set a route out of the Euroterminal with no complaint Log in to reply |

I believe it will yes since it is the set of points from the down relief to the branch which causes the problem.

Any eta on when the updated sim will be released? Rather annoying as it isn't possible to play the supplied time table wtihout lots of cheating.

As with any updates or new sims, it will be ready when it's ready. Once Geoff has fixed the problems iditified it will go to the up testers to check. As a work around for the moment, I have been routing trains for canal wharf into the euroterminal talking them past the last the signal (having abandoned or changed the tt to suit). This means that you have minimal disruption to the rest of the sim. Log in to reply |
