(Might be a loader bug) locomotive lost its engine? 11/08/2014 at 19:43 #63750 | |

Weird bug today. So I had one of the Willesden Goods lines filled for a while. I had another line with a loco (0K17) that I was about to send into the loco sidings when another (0B62) appeared from the loco sidings wanting to go to the goods lines. So I had to move the other loco back (up) to allow it to fit. Unfortunately selecting reverse direction didn't have the desired effect (he just immediately reversed back to the down direction), so I had to abandon his timetable to allow him to move up along the goods line. This worked, but once I had the other locomotive in place, I told him to run to his timetable again. To my surprise, his status changed to "No engine", and trying to move him doesn't work. WTF? I'm guessing the sim somehow forgot that the loco has power... any thoughts? Last edited: 11/08/2014 at 19:44 by Muzer Log in to reply |

Not just a loader bug - it happens on Carlisle if you have an engine change then run to another timetable!

Apologies - I meant a bug in the core code, which nowadays means the loader. If it's in Carlisle, it can probably occur in other sims (loader and non-loader), which sounds like it's existed for a long time without anyone fixing it.
