You've said it's an 'entry level job' yet some of the items in your job spec are clearly not designed for someone interested in this field with informal knowledge/experience looking to get a foot in the door. It seems to me that you're looking for somebody ideally with experience of train planning and/or signalling infrastructure. From the two job descriptions, how else do you expect someone would go about gaining knowledge/experience of signalling control system designs, 'TMS family of simulation tools', timetable tools, TRESIM tools, etc? Yes, the first one was a tad vague and should be disregarded. I didn't have an official job spec at the time but my more recent post is. The error in the first post was supposed to point out that someone in the job role would be expected to be demonstrate potential to be able to do the things listed in key skills, rather than already know them.
