I am unable to get a train to seed at M178 (Up Main at Uddingston). The same train enters correctly when seeded at M182. Example TT attached.

I think it must be due to the era data. The signal is actually after the point on a converging track circuit and the train is not sure how to approach the signal. I can't immediately find any situations where this occurs "normally" so it's difficult to test the theory elsewhere, but it seems the most logical reason.
