Exeter potential minor bugs 12/09/2014 at 17:25 #64540

Hello all,

I was recently playing the Exeter sim and noticed a couple of issues.

Firstly, it is stated in the manual that signal EJ4 (Pinhoe) will reset its route until cancelled. However, whenever I send a train over this piece of track, signal EJ4 restores and releases the route, meaning it has to be manually reset.

Secondly, I seem to be unable to set a normal route from signal EJ25 to EJ27 at Topsham. In doing so, the system generates a 'Route not available' message, and I have to instead set a warner route, meaning the train slows down and points are lost. There is no issue in the opposite direction.

I would appreciate it if someone would be able to look into these issues and inform me as to whether they are bugs, true to life or just me doing something wrong, I would very much appreciate it. I am using loader V4.1.2, sim V4.3 build 1.

Thanks in advance,
Jamie.

Don't know why the manual says that.

Jamie.
Looking at the data R25M route requires the route R27M be set first - so try setting the onward route from 27 then the route from 25.

First one is a manual error, which I have corrected. Sim is working correctly.

Second one is covered by a note I have just added to issue #9803. There is a bug in the sim, but Peter's last post shows a workaround that is usable, and if you are crossing trains then the warner would normally be required anyway.

Thanks for that. Just realized that the overlap extends onto the branch! :doh

And thank you Peter for clarifying the manual issue.

Jamie.
