Hi all,

Now that we have a Portsmouth sim I hope that, sometime, someone will do a sim that covers the area between Bedhampton (on the Portsmouth sim) and Lancing which would include Chichester, Barnham, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton boxes. A separate sim could, at some point, also be done to cover Arundel, Pulborough, Amberley & Billingshurst: the last 3 were abolished in 2013.

That would in turn, give rise to a nice south coast chain (Brighton - Portsmouth Harbour). However I suppose that, in order to achieve what I hope for, Portsmouth may have to be updated a bit. Dunno though.

But all these things take time: I realise that!

Cheers,
Dave

That would be pretty cool. The Portsmouth sim doesn't have any chaining capability at all, as far as I can tell as a user at least. This doesn't of course mean it won't be added in the future. I for one am still hoping for a sim of the full Eastleigh area - that would then chain directly to Portsmouth as far as I remember, and extend this hypothetical South Coast chain even further (almost to Brockenhurst!).

I, too, long for the day when I can run a train all the way to portsmouth from brighton. The worthing and bognor regis areas are of particular interest to me.

It would be really nice to chain brighton to, actually, anything other than boring old lancing. Any progress on the rest of the three bridges panels? Willing to volunteer for testing, if it helps at all.

Meanwhile, thankyou.

In order to simulate the Triangle between Ford and Littlehampton, the proposed sim must include Arundel. The junctions are all controlled by that box.
Sorry guys, I am in the business of making people wait!

I would like to see different eras for the Arun Valley/Mid Sussex line, so having the pre-March 2014 Amberley, Pulborough and Billingshurst boxes with absolute block, or the modern era with it all being controlled by Three Bridges Panel 7 (the Horsham panel) with bog-standard track circuit block. Alternatively, these three boxes could be added to the Horsham sim, with the interface being Amberley/Arundel.
