I'm running the above timetable, and 5T09-3 has arrived at BOR1 but for some reason is showing "Stopped at signal 35" as if it wants to continue, rather than stopping and dividing. How do I get it to realise where it is? I've tried running to various other timetables and then back to the correct one, adding the fact that it's road 1, reversing direction, shunting forwards, etc.

Managed to sort it by abandoning timetable, routeing him through to 73, then reversing him and running him to his original timetable with location Backing Out Roads. Seemed to work.

I've found some instances on this timetable where light engines that are to shunt from one platform to another often believe they're stopped behind the shunt signal and call for permission to move before they've even departed their original platform. It's pretty fun actually - we get that occasionally in the real boxes where sometimes a driver won't be completely sure about a move and will need to have their instructions confirmed to them by the signaller. Accidental realism?

It usually happens when I play with their orders anyway, maybe a points failure means they can't go to the down departure line so I tell them to go wait in the backing out roads, but the orders don't step properly.

I've learnt, especially on this excellent timetable, to just visually scan and make sure that every train is doing what i *think* it should be doing. You get the hang of it after a while - the gut feeling "this guy is taking a while isn't he, better check the train list".

Yeah, I've noticed that. I've also noticed the issue that if you send a loco into a train that hasn't finished detaching its front loco yet, the train won't join.

All adds to the fun of course - I still think this is a great sim, definitely one of my favourites.

Oh, this reminds me - one other thing I noticed, I think sometimes trains falsely trigger the train running away alarm. Maybe going from the up carriage shed to platform 4 or something - I can't remember the exact move that did it, I stupidly forgot to take note. It did happen a few times over the course of this game, however, and I don't recall it happening with more modern timetables.

Yeah there's a few little things like that. I've had the train running away alarm when shunting locos between platforms, usually when other moves are also taking place. Also the down carriage shed slot can get stuck on if you hit it at a certain point (instead of deactivating when the route is set) causing delays if you don't notice.

I haven't held out much hope of a Euston refresh since Wembley Mainline was released, what with it incorporating the resignalled station. I like this version of Euston much more, but it's getting old I suppose.

I fully intend to convert Euston to loader, but it's behind various other things in my queue. It's a historic simulation, so it's unaffected by the presence of Wembley Mainline.

7.5 years ago. That will give you an idea of the queue.
