Hi all. I'm currently compiling a timetable for 1988 for Exeter. I'm struggling with information on an assisting loco for the overnight beds. I believe at one point a 31 assisted the train loco at least part of the way (plymouth - NA and vice versa?) does anyone have any information on this, and whether it continued as late as 88? Looking at a Section PC for Summer 1987 there is no mention of a pilot engine, so I expect the need for one had ended by that period (barring failures of course).
