Good Evening @ all. First thank you for that great Simulation I don't know if this has been reported, but It seems very strange. See the attached File. At 06:40 I requested the Slot from Kilmarnock to send 6E85 up the Line. After 4S75 passed Barassie Jn I have set the Route towards Kilmarnock with all Signals clearing for 6E85. 06:44 "6S62 has entered the Area (Kilmarnock)", no Problem from that stand because the Route was already set! But the Train entered and set Signal PB274 back to Danger. Thank you for any Answers Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Clearly something's not quite right but I'm a little unclear exactly what the order of events was. Trains should not enter at Killie if a route is set up to PB272 or any TC thereafter is occupied. There is no particular restriction on allowing a train to enter then setting a route up to PB272 - you just get in a mess. There should not be a restriction on a train entering at Killie while the slot is being requested (Killie after all is free to ignore the request) but once granted entry should not happen (I think I need to look at that bit again). Equally once a train has entered and en-route the slot should probably not be granted but can be requested. However, I'm not sure what you mean by "06:44 "6S62 has entered the Area (Kilmarnock)", no Problem from that stand because the Route was already set! But the Train entered and set Signal PB274 back to Danger." Which route was already set? Can you be more precise as to what the chain of events was. Thank you for your Reply. I'm really sorry for not being precise enough. I had recieved the Slot from Kilmarnock an started setting the route after 4S75 left the branch. The whole route was set to the Exit-Point at Signal PB272 so that was the point which made me a bit confused. 6E85 entered the Branch with all Signals showing Green. Greetings from Franconia. I have had this as well later in the afternoon. I had a train waiting to come out of Barassie Yard so requested the slot and it was granted. Just as i was about to set up the route a train enters from Kilmarnock to go to Falkland Yard so i held off so not to get a mexican stand off. The slot still remains illuminated and doesn't need to be requested again once the train comes off the branch.

I am tiring of the "Kilmarnock" farce having repeatedly restarted the game from scratch and ending up with the same Mexican stand-off at one time or another - dependent on whether an Up train can clear the section to Kilmarnock before an uncontrolled arrival on the Down line appears. Specifically, I have obtained a slot for an Up train, 6E63, and signalled it through to Kilmarnock but before it arrives 4S73 is announced and arrives at K73 thereby blocking the Up train which reaches K74 and comes to a halt. Stalemate. What, please, is supposed to happen? Am I doing something incorrectly? I cannot find, after searching through the Forum, that this problem/subject/question has been definitively answered. I am running the latest timetable released and have the latest System Update. I have had the same situation arise at a later stage in the timetable i.e. it is entirely dependent on whether Up trains can clear the Section before a Down train appears. Help please. Without a savegame this issue can't be investigated Just simply complaining about it will not lend you any favours. Log in to reply |

" said:Without a savegame this issue can't be investigatedI think I'll be the judge of that - I've had a very quick look and I know what the problem is. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply The following user said thank you: arabianights |

I thought I fixed that but now I'm not so sure that I actually released the Sim build. I was quite ill just after Christmas and although I did a bit of SimSigging it was not necessarily with my brain in gear. Paisley is currently undergoing some major civil engineering work but that's almost done now - just needs a bit of testing. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs!
