Sorry, another question! I have just loaded a saved game (a continuation from last night) and I had forgotten that I already had a train sitting at Clapham Junction Platform 2. I requested a slot from Signal VC682 towards Latchmere Reversible for a second train. The slot was accepted and I routed the second train onto the line. It is now sitting in the vicinity of signal W149 waiting for the platform to empty; the train already in the platform is, at the same time, awaiting right-away. It seems I have a standoff! Obviously I should’ve paid more attention to what was going on, but I wanted to ask if it is correct for the slot to be given when a train is already sitting in the platform? Despite what it might look like, I am thoroughly enjoying this simulation! Regards, Mark (Gwasanaethau) Log in to reply |

During tonight's host we had the same thing happen, and echo Gwasanaethau's query as to is this the right practice for teh slot seeing as the slot effectively slots to a siding in the 2000s layout. Cheers Nath Log in to reply |

Platform 2 is not the only place trains can access from the Latchmere Reversible. Trains can travel into Clapham Yard or through Clapham Junction towards Putney. You don't want the slot-granting-ability to be linked to having a train in platform 2, otherwise you wouldn't be able to run a through train whilst a train were in the platform. A case of "look before you leap". Clicking on "Last Sent" should indicate whether a train is still in platform 2 or not. Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Log in to reply |
