You're using the Winter 2015 CWN, so I'd take a guess at a Winter 2015. Which is what I'm doing.

Perhaps this screenshot of yet another error message will help.I can see there is a problem with the loader on this one.
Actually, I can't read it. But I presume it's the same numbers as before.

Do you have any way to reproduce this at least semi-reliably? Without it, I'm currently stumped.

If Geoff (Northroad) is getting the problem consistently but can't identify a trigger is there any de-bugging module he could use to create some sort of log to help to nail the problem?

Interesting reading. In as much, today I received Loader Access Violations with Paisley's 2015 timetable.

I wonder if this differing behaviour might be caused by how the program and the relevant libraries are loaded by different operating systems, versions of the Delphi libraries, and so on?

Hmm. I wonder if that's the difference between Windows 7 and Windows 8? That's something to look into.

For reference, I'm on Win 7, using OllyDbg to decompile.
Well I'm on Win 7 as well, so that's not it.

But I tried OllyDbg and it gave me plausible-looking code. When I get time (might not be for a few days) I'll attempt to analyse the problem further.

ARGH! PLEASE!!

(1) What are the reported details of the violation?
(2) What exactly were you doing just before it happened?
(3) Can you re-create it consistently?

Clive,
Sorry for being such a pain......

In a way I am glad that Barry had a similar experience but not glad that we have this problem.

If it helps Geoff requested a copy of the timetable and I have sent him that so he can possibly explore when he gets time.

In answer to your questions including those that you have asked Barry
1. The codes for the latest access violation are the same as the first one I reported to you.
2. The problem makes itself known after I have inputted some more services and you first notice that there is a problem when you look at the timetable list, timetables screen and the last inputted service is highlighted in red and not the usual black or blue if there is no link attached. If you then click on the service that is highlighted in red then that is when I am getting error messages popping up. If you then close down the timetable list and reopen it the same service is then black (everything OK) so it appears as though there was no problem. It does not seem to have a pattern as to the number of services that you enter before it happens again and it does not seem dependant on one particular routing i.e. via Clapham Main or Clapham Windsor lines, it seems to happen with both. If you continue inputting all appears well.
3. Sorry I cannot repeat it consistently and the timetable that I sent Geoff although the problem had just occurred and I saved it immediately and sent it to Geoff when I reopened that save it was as though nothing had happened.

Maybe some of that is some help for you.

Geoff.

I replied to your email yesterday, Geoff. Nothing positive but something else to try. The above might be useful though - I'll give that a try.

Just thinking about when Geoff (Northroad) said about the colours in the timetable list...

Geoff (Northroad) have you been using the timetable analysis tool soon before the problem arises by any chance. I know you found an issue in Feltham that has been resolved (pending update) regarding using the analysis tool, I was just wondering if the issues in Wimbledon are somehow linked to it too - also as currently in writing tt for Wimbledon and Feltham I haven't encountered the error codes but also haven't used the analysis tool.

(1) Peter Bennet sent you my details, did he not?
(2) Analysing a timetable.
(3) Have not tried. It involved clicking on a red highlighted train number.

Okay, I've got at least an immediate cause, though it will take time to reduce that to a root cause. It's something to do with dwell times, but it's clearly a core code bug.

Mantis 12662 for those with access.

I've had some success in recreating the situation:
1. Open a train's timetable, modify it so it fails validation.
2. Analyse the (whole) timetable so the train appears in red.
3. Duplicate that train.
- Result is that duplicating sometimes fails when copying the Dwell Times structure but I think that may be a red herring.
