2A11 and 2P13 stop at Derby Platform 3A when they Should be Stopping at 3B so that once 2A11 departs, 1V03 can run into 3A, reverse and then head back out towards New Street. Think this should just be a case of changing the stopping positions.

The issue of the trains not hanging about on the station stops is because I appear to have overlooked putting the dwell times into the train categories.
The issue of multiple trains running I'll look into when I'm not chasing my behind sometime next week and then send out an update.
Sorry guys & gals
.

Noel
You may not have put them in the train categories Noel, but there is larger issue regarding dwell times, (outside of derby) as when I was writing tt's for the Victoria sim having a dwell for a specific train eg 5min dwell at Victoria if it was late the new train didn't adhere the dwell and TRTSd immediately upon arrivAl. I seem yo remember that Karl logged it on Mantis?

Can someone please tell me the length of the Broadholme loops? The default TT has 6V40 going into the Up Loop and waiting until 07.20 to depart. 6L45 is booked to arrive in the loop before 6V40 has departed. I need to know the length of the loop so I know they'll both fit permissively (as per the manual, which doesn't state the loop length). Thanks.

Broadholme Up Loop = 1300m
Broadholme Down Loop = 1500m

I will get and update / amend the manual at some point very soon.

Trains can only RR or RM on the Down Goods at Derby not on the UG

Thanks, wasn't sure when I wrote that whether there was a route out to a LOS on the Up Goods. Evidently not! Is there any restriction on HSTs or double 222s (or anything else where the driver can't walk through the train) reversing on the Down Goods?
The LOS on the Up Goods at St Marys was for shunting towards when Thomas Hill's scrapyard and ground frame were still there. I've just looked on the pre-1999 era sim and it's not shown. The Thomas Hill's connection was still there in 1992, and was served by 6M15 (I think) from Tinsley at approx 0115 in the morning on weekdays. It used to detach empty POA's, attach loads and then continue on to somewhere in the Birmingham area (Handsworth?) but my memory has faded. I can't remember when the traffic ceased or when the connection was removed.

Back in the early 90's HST's definitely did change ends on the Down Goods at Derby North (no Meridians on those days to walk through) but I don't know if that is still the case today. They first went via Derby north/Chad Curve onto 4 Shed for fuel then back out to Derby North/Chad Curve again to reverse to go onto Etches Park, if only Chad Curve had been available for all that shunting it would have taken all night and caused much congestion because back then there were at least 5 loco hauled sets and numerous DMU's to deal with as well as the 8 or so HST's each night, not to mention all the loco moves on and off 4 shed. It really was a busy place on nights in the early 90's especially with all the mails attaching, detaching and changing locos and numerous freights passing through, many of which got relief at Derby. The Centre Panel man was kept busy pretty well all night long.

Phil.

I'd already reported the fact that two appeared in my game, I'm glad you got all three of them!

And I have a similar situation with three 6M49s, all with 'unique' ID H75507.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned somewhere — but I have 6D08, I've just sent it down the Sinfin branch, and it's now saying "stopped at signal 374X" upon reaching the end of the branch. However, it's still fouling the track circuit and preventing the ground frame being released.

(Also, I scrolled down and T599C appears to have three occupancies, which strikes me as rather odd).

Needs a stopping time at GF No.2 so GF No.2 can be released to allow entry to loop.

Incidentally I ran the loco round the train via GF No.2 and GF No.1 (needed manual reversal at Sinfin North) then it wouldn't join 6D08 whatever I tried. Then I ACTUALLY READ 0D08's TT and the loco is TT'd to detach from the rear of 6D08, run to GF No.2 then rejoin the same end of 6D08. Why? What's the point?

There IS a stopping time at GF No. 2 in the timetable. It's just stopped at this signal, however. Am I completely misunderstanding something? http://tim32.org/~muzer/6d08.png

I had to change it - it was set as a passing time in the supplied timetable.

Edit to add - mine was the version of 6D08 exiting Sinfin (H76400)

Edited further to add - if it is running round on the way into Sinfin there shouldn't be any need to run round on the way out? (except it isn't, just pointlessly detaching and attaching.)

Interesting. my 1993 WTT shows all ECS from Derby as running direct from the station to Etches Park with a Journey times Circa 5 mins. I'd be interested in some more info on this for the TT I'm writing via PM?

Joe, the schedules did show a straight move from the platforms to Etches Park (I know, I was a TOPS clerk at Derby) but the reality was they always went for fuel as described in my last post (I know, because I watched them every night from my position on the back desk in Derby box).

Regards,

Phil.

I just had that same issue. In my scenario, OX77 was overhanging and so I wonder whether technically it hadn't arrived at the joining location. In F2, both were showing the other was in front, but at different locations. To resolve this I tried shunting 5X77 but this isn't possible without power, so I ended up having to take extreme measures! Halving the length of 5X77 seemed to create enough room for the join to happen, but would be good to know if there's a better solution!

Correct, its not arriving. Train is also far too short for what it is described as. Have already logged that one as a bug earlier today on Mantis, Mantis 12810.

6D37 appears to have some locations missing- approaching from Kingsbury, it's booked straight from Burton-on-Trent to Burton West Yard, which is impossible without a reversal. Adding the location 'Burton Wetmore Jn' solves the problem.
