Broadholme Down Loop 15/08/2015 at 02:34 #75127

Hello!

The Derby user manual notes the Broadholme down loop at 1300 metres, however I'm finding that any train booked to wait inside the loop is stopping foul of the entry-end points, with the train list noting 'Stopped at Broadholme'.

When it moves off, it will head down to DY 562 and wait at the red there, with the train list reading 'Stopped at signal 562'.

Tried it with permissive freight working, got this:

6H38 and 4M11 both stopped foul of the entry-end points, however 4M11 is reporting 'Waiting for right-away at Broadholme' but never moves off unless the timetable is abandoned. Both trains are only short (239 and 150 metres respectively), so there should be stacks of room for 4M11 to move in clear of the points.

Also, later on when 6H38 was gone and 4M11 was down at DY 562, I put its timetable back in, selected next location 'Ambergate Jn' and it immediately reported as 'Terminated, no more timetabled trips'.

I'm guessing DY 562 is considered part of Ambergate Jn and the timing point for the Broadholme loop itself is further back towards the entry-end, which might be causing both of these?

Loader 4.5.2, Derby 1.0, 2015 Weekday timetable.

I can provide a savegame if needed, but every freighter booked to stop in the loop has done this so it should be easily reproduced (I hope!)

Thanks

'Broadholme' is the location at the Derby end of the loops, hence why all your trains are stopping at that end. Looking at the default timetable, only Up trains should be timed to stop at Broadholme, Down trains should stop at Ambergate Jn.

Just change the 'Broadholme' stop to 'Ambergate Jn' to fix. Incidentally, the default TT has trains booked into the loop given a pass time at Broadholme, line 'DPV' to aid routing, but you can get away without this.
