The northbound bay platform at Banbury has been renumbered to 1B - less than 18 months before its due to be taken out of use!

In the distant days it used to be Platform 2 (long before my time) and was taken out of regular use for passenger trains, in the days of rationalisation. Whilst Banbury is progressively remodelled/resignalled, there will be trains that are booked to use the Down North Bay in passenger service during engineering work possessions. In consequence it has been renumbered 1B and should be reflected as such in the Customer Information Screens, etc. Log in to reply |
