I'm having a bit of trouble with getting a train (1Q24) from Winchnor Junction through the Absolute Block section at Alrewas to then go down to Lichfield Low Level. I've got TORR active, and have made sure to lower the barriers at Alrewas LC and then click the 'clear' roundel. I've also followed the process to set a route through the Absolute Block section (clicking the green roundels on the Up line in the correct order, followed by the red ones), but can't set a route past signal AS1. This is strange, as I've managed it without issue on earlier trains. It's frustrating, as I'm losing a considerable amount of time because of it. Can anyone help?

Jb108822 Are you setting with route while the block instruments are showing line clear? If the block is at Train On Line then what you are seeing is correct behaviour. From the RSSB rule book module on Absolute Block signalling "The principle of the absolute block system is to prevent more than one train being in a section on the same line at the same time." By having the instrument at Train On Line you are telling the equipment that the section is already occupied and by then trying to set the route into the section you are then trying to break the fundamental principle behind over 100 years of AB signalling. If you set the route before giving the Train On Line but after asking for line clear then you should be able to route a train between Alrewas and Litchfield. Ah, yes - that's it. Completely forgot about that. Think I've managed to sort it out now. Thanks.
