I think there might be confusion here, Barry. Paisley sim has been updated as part of the the latest loader upgrade but, unless Rodney and I are doing something wrong, your 2015 timetable is still not available.

I have updated the loader and have checked the Paisley timetable web page for your TT but it is not there. I even ran the game after upgrading the loader to see if the TT miraculously appeared but it is not there (at the time of this posting).

Has it been approved for release yet?

Possibly a slight mix up on my part in reading an email as "for info" rather than "for action". Action being taken now.

Thanks for this timetable.

One question so far: The number of trains booked to enter on the Up Ayr seems awfully low. Even if it's not the same WTT period, this overview seems to indicate that there should be a bit more trains running reversibly on the Up Ayr than just 1K97.
That would also mean that a number of Up Trains would have to be moved to the Up Gourock while a down train was using the Up Ayr.

I've attached a version where I've changed the line usage between Paisley and Shields Junction according to the summer timetable, except for a few trains where freight trains ran differently in the winter timetable.

There was also a very small error for 2W12, which had a wrong exit time at Shields Junction, which I've fixed as well.

I should have run the timetable analyser - I've just noticed that I've broken a number of trains through the line/path codes I've used at Paisley. The attached file should be now working - at least the analyser isn't complaining.

After having played through this timetable, here are my collected notes:

  • Two errors of my own making in the timetables I've posted here: After moving the off-peak Wemyss Bay trains to use the reversible Up Ayr, I've forgotten to move 2K72 and 2K84 to the Up Gourock as well.

  • 4S34B probably needs its departure time at Brownhill Loops changed to match 4S34D, i.e. from 10:38 to 10:54.

  • 2G50, 1G40 and 1F72 don't have passing times at Shields Jn.

  • 4S33 entered twice, so some rules/decisions are missing or otherwise malfunctioning.

  • GE80 and both 6E64s should probably mutually exclusive to each other, same goes for 6G10 and 6B79.

  • Is the stopping time for 3Q20/ZHE620 at Brownhill Loop intentional?

  • Same question for 3Q74/ZHG602 at Arkleston Jn…

  • Wrong departure times from Glasgow Central in the train description for 2T37 (2345, needs to be 2315) and 2F87 (2217, needs to be 2345)

Plus what has been mentioned in this thread, i.e. some freight trains aren't marked as such.

Other than that however it was really enjoyable and it was nice to see the new layout at Paisley in action, so thanks very much for producing this timetable.

Running the 2015 TT, which has been excellent so far, I have 3Q25 sat in Elderslie Loop waiting its booked 2210 departure time. 3Q79 is booked to go in on top of 3Q25 2009 - 2144, but GPE143 signal will not clear into the loop for 3Q79 with 3Q25 already in the loop. 3Q79 has to be talked past GPE143 Sig.

Regards,

Phil.

2G15 on arrival at Gourock at 2057 has to be talked past GPU108 Sig to go on top of 2G21 in Pfm.2 to attach and form 2G90, the position light signal doesn't clear. As with at Elderslie in my previous post, are these sim bugs? If not that makes the TT invalid if there aren't signalled moves.

Phil, I did a debug on this particulate move using these trains and the position light did clear! See attachment. Do you have a save?

It's not a tabled move. As these two trains are Test trains, they may be testing the signalling network. Perhaps 3Q79 should be tabled into Malcolm's.

Both of these trains are Network Rail Infrastructure Monitoring trains Barry, with at least one (3Q25 I believe) being an Ultrasonic Test Unit (UTU) which at that time (the diagrams have since changed) transited Mossend - Elderslie, waited time then transited IIRC Elderslie - Shields Jn to record from there to Bridge St Jn before testing the WCML Up Fast/Main from either Bridge St or Eglinton St (I can't recall which) to Carlisle North Jn (which would make this TT a Thursday). As the other train is Class 3 it too could well, be a UTU (the higher speed trains run Class 1) but I don't recall two ever being timed at Elderslie at the same time on the same day as we only have five UTU's to cover the whole network with one normally out for maintenance at any one time.

With reference to Malcolm's, as far as I'm aware we have never had test trains timed in there. There was talk at one time of us stabling in the CE sidings there but it never came to pass, and now they load and unload container trains there.

I forgot to make a save but I notice in your replication there is only one TC occupied in the platform whereas in my situation there were two so I suspect some Lime St Control was at play here, although when I talked 2G15 past he did fit in clear of the platform starting signal.

Malcolms is gated and locked shut when there are no boxes due in/out. NR, I'm sure, are not responsible for the area.

W H Malcolm siding – Between 0600 hours and midnight the siding is for the sole use of W H Malcolm services.
Outwith these hours, the siding may be used for engineers’ on-track machines etc.

Elderslie loop is not permissive.

For Gourock, platforms 2 and 3 can hold 7 cars and platform 3 can hold 8. based on vehicles that are 23m long.
The issue seems to be that when T827 is occupied then the calling on signal won't release. This is actually happening on all platforms at gourock where the middle TC is occupied.

P1 - T823
P2 - T827
P3 - T811.

Phil with your issues, Was there just one train on platform 2 at the time? Did you have a TCF occur on that particular TC on platform 2?

I'm going to log on Mantis the issue as a 4 car can arrive, and a 3 car can come in on top, but signal won't clear because of those TCs being occupied.

All TC's cleared after the train departed so there was no TCF.

If Elderslie Loop is not permissive then 3Q79 should not be timed to go in on top of 3Q25 as the signalling does not permit it.
