Locking issue. When a route is set from RN5368 to NR5366 [Up TV Slow to Rugby Platform 6], it is not possible to set a route from RC6002 to KR3358 [Up Coventry to Rugby Platform 4]. It reports the Point(s) locked normal by another route. The route from the Up Coventry to Platform 4 should set as there are only one set of points used by both routes, and they have to be normal for both routes. I've mentioned this as a possible bug alrteady, but I suspect it is correct as points RC 421 cannot provide flank locking for both routes for movements from P5. they are required reverse for the route into P4 and normal for movements into P6.

Yet the points you mention that are locked normal are clear of the overlap for RC9301 and thus should not be required for flank locking.

It's listed under known issues: " said: It's not possible to set a route from RC6002 into platform 4 while a route is set from RN5368 to platform 6 due to overbearing flank control on the points at the end of platform 5. Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick. Log in to reply |

Look at Hanslope Junction with a route set from the Down Slow to the Down Fast - anything overruning the 200yd overlap on the Up Fast gets diverted towards the Up Slow by means of flank locking. Anyway, will be fixed. SimSig Boss Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Giantray |
