Hi all!

Found this video on YouTube. Jump to 3:22 for footage of inside the Victoria Central/S.E signalling centre, plus a bit of info from Andrew Munden (the man in charge).

I fancy Mr Cooper might have a thing or two to say about who is in charge

Neat video! Always great to get a glimpse inside a big box like that.

I shuddered at a couple of the phrasings he used.

"24 years old... it is, however, very reliable" - hope he's not implying that NX panels are anything but solid gold compared to fully computerised signalling interfaces

"The lines that I control" :doh

London Victoria is 35 years old and looks as good as it did when it opened. This is due to being well maintained and receiving upgrades and improvements. Also the Signallers have helped in keeping the panels looking good. I have video taken in 1991 which although is not as good quality is very detailed. Anyone want to see it?

I was half-expecting everything to go blank when he said that. Thou shalt not tempt fate!
