help!!

train A arrives into the terminus as a 6 car unit 1z00
it then divides into 2 3 cars
1st 3 car works back out as 1z01 leaving a 2nd set in the platform
train 1z02 works in as a 3 car and couples to the previously mentoned 3 car
then works back out as a 6 car as 1z03

how do i program this into the sim i can normally do detaches/joins but this doesnt want to work.....

many thanks in advance

Activities should be added as follows, in the order shown:

1Z00
DR: 1Z01, J: 1Z02, N:1Z03

1Z02
J: 1Z00

1Z00 and 1Z03 to have '6 car' selected as train type, 1Z01 and 1Z02 '3 car'.

That's how I'd do it, other solutions exist.

It's better if you put the N: on the last train to arrive, so in this case 1Z02

I agree with Steamers suggestion. Its the one that makes the most sense with the least amount of work.

And Noels edit is a good idea too so both sides of the join show which train is next. That way, a user can look at either trains TT to know what train is next.

Note that while this will work fine when you run the timetable, the Analyser tool will flag it as an error because it "sees" two trains having the same train as a next working, and also both trains with activities after the join.

I'd go with:

1Z00 DR: 1Z01, J: 1Z02

1Z02 J: 1Z00, N:1Z03

That way the 'N' against 1Z02 should feed through into ARS / ACI as well as keeping a clue as to what happens available on screen.

The remains of 1Z00 will say 'waiting for 1Z02' and the user has a 1Z02 to join 1Z00, although the TD might be blank depending on the sim / TC layout if 1Z02 takes out the only TD.
