I've posted this question under 'General questions, comments and issues' as I would imagine that a similar scenario could pop up on any sim.
I'm running Victoria Central Version 1.5 with a Thursday 2012 (04.45 start) TT and in 2010 mode as advised at start-up. I've got as far as 06.05 and have train 2C02 at Victoria platform 12 which should have departed at 06.02 but just sits there. I have noticed that 2C02 doesn't appear in the Train List, it's Timetable status is 'No active train' and it's 'ARS status is 'Waiting for TRTS' I have attached a screenshot which shows my problem. Am I being impatient, doing something wrong or is something amiss?. Some help would be appreciated.

Interesting. It looks like 2C02-1 was formed when 5C02 arrived. Is there an entry for 5C02 in the (F2) train list?
EDIT: I’ve just had a quick look at the timetable. 5C02-2 starts at Battersea Pier Sidings. There seem to be issues in the sim regarding trains not stepping up their timetables when passing Battersea Pier Junction when coming from the sidings. There should be a 5C02-2 in your train list saying “Waiting at buffer stops” or something similar. You will need to right-click on the entry for 5C02-2 in the list, go to Timetable options → Edit timetable, click on the Location List tab and then update its current position to “Victoria (Central)”. This should cause 2C02-1 to form and, hopefully, depart quickly.

Unfortunately you’ll need to keep an eye on all trains leaving the Pier Sidings to ensure they update their positions correctly.

As a suggestion, posting a saved game showing the problem rather than a screenshot would give people more to work with when trying to sort out what is going wrong.

Looks like 2C02 isn't actually assigned to a train, ARS goes off berths, however there's no actual train allocated to that headcode to activate the TRTS.

Thanks for the help. I think that I have managed to change the location to Victoria Central, and changed it to Non-ARS as you said. I'll wait to see what happens when the scheduled departure time arrives. I'll let you know what happens!

I've got one saved, so if necessary I'll attach it to my next post.

It's now 06.05 and 2C02 still hasn't vacated Platform 12 at Victoria. I think that I might have done something wrong as I didn't fully understand what I was meant to do in the timetable Editor. Looks like I need a little more guidance on this problem.
I've aattached a saved game as Postal suggested.

The train in 12 is 5C02, you need to change his next working to 2C02 and reverse him to face down. Then he should depart.

Ah! My apologies, I missed a step out. :doh After Updating the location to “Victoria (Central)”, you then need to right-click on 5C02-2, go to Signalling options → Shunt forward. This should prompt the train to update its location. 2C02-1 should then appear in the list with an estimated departure time (for me this was 06:10 based on the save you provided).

Hope this helps, and sorry for the confusion!

I finally managed to get 2C02 to depart from the platform, although I have to admit that I'm not 100% sure that what I did was exactly what you told me to do. One thing I did notice in the Timetable Editor was that the departure time from Victoria was the same as the arrival time (05.50), even though the dwell time was 5 minutes. I changed this to match the timetabled departure time of 06.02. I've now got to sort out the mess that neglecting the rest of the sim has created. Still, should be interesting!
Thanks everyone for the help and tips.
