I hope that somebody can help me with this little problem.
I'm running Wimbledon Version 1.4, on a new Windows 10 laptop computer with the 15th October 2009 Combined v1.0 (0445) timetable and full ARS, but with several areas turned off to give me a bit to do. I've had no trouble until I got to 06.15 where 5F11 is waiting in Clapham Yard to join the main down line at Clapham Junction platform No.9. By this time several trains are piling up on the Up main, presumably waiting for 5F11 to leave the yard and cross their path. According to the Wimbledon manual 'In full ARS mode the slots for Clapham Yard will automatically be requested and granted by ARS when appropriate' I thought I'd try moving 5F11 back behind signal CY11 (which made it and 5K05 non-ARS), but was still not able to set a route as a slot is required! Am I missing something obvious?
I've attached a screen shot and a saved game file.

Thanks in advance

Assuming that the train is pointing in the Up direction you need to give him one more signal (towards the Carriage Washer CW) so that the train is clear of the points. You also need the Outbound Main slot.

I just a a quick play of the save and as 5F11 is 12 cars it needs the full length of sdg 1 so you need to set the sig CY2 to 1034 (the sig ahead), it will say out of area but it will arrive as it should, then you would just need to interpose "5F11" on sig CY11 then all should be OK

HI Kev.

I did move 5F11 through the Carriage Washer as I said above ("moving 5F11 back behind signal CY11"), but I couldn't seem to obtain the necessary slot to leave the Yard. However, I did eventually get the 'Out of Yard' slot, but had to click the left-hand 'Outbound Slot' (Main) before the DN 'Out of Yard' slot would be accepted. This seemed a little odd, but then that's maybe what you're supposed to do. I then had to reverse direction and shunt forward to get the train to move. Still in the end I got it onto the main DN and it's now happily on it's way, albeit a little bit late.

I have a feeling that slots are only automatic in subareas in which ARS is enabled- so if you turn that subarea off, slots will be manual
