Now up to 17-10 with this very absorbing timetable and all hell is breaking loose !! To add to the mayhem, I now have a couple of trains calling in reporting wrong route set but I think I have set the correct routes as per their pop-up timetable. Save game hopefully attached but the offending trains are...

2Y12 at Streatham North Jn (signal VC651)

2J14 at Tulse Hill North Jn (signal VC759)

Hope it's not me doing something daft. Am running WITHOUT ARS.
These were reported on the previous page by uboat - It's a simulation bug, filed on simulation bug board as #15589.

It's to do with the wrong routing code not handling trains making circular journeys properly. The only solution at present is to Abandon Timetable, then reinstate once past the signal they are currently calling in wrong route at.

My understanding is it will also afflict 2Y14.

Thanks James.

I had previously read through this entire thread but clearly didn't recall the earlier report by the time I reached this point in the simulation. Apologies for the senior moment !!

2D79-2 Noted PC-VC 12 refers. :)

Regarding PC-VC 11. I have gone into the timetable and 2D52-2 shows West Croydon - Selhurst, what I did find is that the previous working referenced 2D52-1 (error on my part and corrected under the same number) and I wonder if that had anything to do with the original issue. I am just running through the corrected part of that timetable to see what happens.

Danny,

Another as above! 2D87-2 tt needs adjustment. Currently tabled from SL to FL P13 at Clapham Jn.

Another 2D92-2. Just thinking should theses trains be tabled P15 at Clapham Jn?

Barry

Edit: 2nd thoughts! Theses trains need to cross to the down fast at Battersea Park Jn as the Down Slow is blocked by a service leaving P17 Clapham Jn at the same time.

Not sure if it is me but the ARS is pretty keen to signal trains in the Battersea Pier Jcn area because I have 5Z56 at signal 122 (Battersea Pier Sidings Road 1) and I've just had a alert saying "10:08:44 5Z56 requires manual route R122AS to be set"

However the train is NOT booked to depart until 17:36 so why should I get this message? Note I've checked the Train List and it says the train is not departing until 17:36 which is it's booked departure time so I'm confused :(

I am using the latest version of the timetable btw.

It's just ARS telling you that it is not able to set that route, rather than you needing to set the route straight away.

"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

Danny,

Tt for 6Y22 needs adjustment. At Wimbledon 21:03 Line should be USH. West Jn Path 21/06 USH.

Barry

Added: Problem with ARS handling a join Headcode for 2L97 21:07 at Central. ARS does not change the new headcode. Should 2J74-2 Activities have a "Next" in it, and 2J78-2 Activities remove "Next"?

One for DriverCurran but I have 2A52-2 14:39 Epsom Downs to Victoria which for some reason has been diverted via Crystal Palace?

According to the stopping pattern, it goes via Selhurst so any idea why the train has decided to go via Crystal Palace instead?

I can easily edit the calling pattern so it reflects the diverted route but just wondering why this happened that's all which brings me to my second question if a train is booked West Croydon to Victoria via Selhurst but it gets signalled via Crystal Palace does the driver query it or not in real life?

Somebody else also found this. When I was going through to investigate I found that no train actually makes 2A52-2 so I need to find out from Geoff what the 'default' route is for trains in the West Croydon area. In real life the driver should query I would think.

Well I can see 2A95 arrives at Epsom Downs at 14:27 and the simplifier states it ought to then form 2A52-1 which doesn't exist, indeed the only service that is the next one to depart from this location is 2A52-2 14:39 Epsom Downs - London Victoria which operates using 2 Epb + 4 Epb which by the way is the same rolling stock that 2A95 uses.

Now as there Epsom Downs only has the single platform, I would say there is a 99.9% chance that 2A95 does indeed form 2A52-2 as it's next working and it's just a simple oversight from when you were putting together this timetable which seeing as intensive it can be is it's no fault of yours.

I know you still have to find out from Geoff what the default route is and if the driver ought to query it as they do in real life, only issue with the driver querying it is the fact that between Wallington and Thornton Heath is this area is a gap so trains if I am correct go off sim at Wallington and then have to re-enter at Thornton Heath as the gap is signalled by Three Bridges/London Bridge?

I appreciate what you've done as I've quite liked this timetable
