Reading is indeed now under TVSC Didcot. I agree that a sim with the new layout would be great. Photos can be found at http://photos.signalling.org/index?/category/211-reading_station_ws Dave Last edited: 23/12/2016 at 18:48 by DaveHarries Reason: Expansion of text Log in to reply |

There would be a lot of era potential! Basically, Reading PSB was in the way of the station redevelopment so had to be demolished. Initially the layout was the same, but from a new WestLock interlocking in the Thames Valley Signalling Centre, with the remote interlockings being unchanged but controlled from the new IECC workstations. Gradually, these have been replaced with WestLock and Smartlock interlockings, and the station of course looks nothing like it once did. Log in to reply |

I stopped using SimSig regularly once I became a signaller, but when I first sat at the Reading Desk at TVSC, one of my first thoughts was an appreciation of the quality of the Simsig simulations I used. For those just starting out with Simsig, or those thinking of a signalling career, the attached images show the current reading Desk at TVSC. I myself became a signaller due to my time using SimSig :-) Post has attachments. Log in to view them.
