All for Valleys:

Trains calling at red "signals" at Treherbert do not ring the Radyr signaller in multiplayer, but instead phone the host.

Also, trains disappearing off the sim at Treherbert will ring in as Train ID "None" to report that they are complete and clear in the sidings, presumably as they've already dropped off the sim when they phone.

What is the "Release Both" option on the Cwmbargoed branch used for? I can't imagine wanting to issue both a ticket and a staff to the same train, and surely you don't just ask a driver to choose whichever he wants!

For the token calls, the train ID on the phone will be what is in the relevant TD berth at the time, so I suggest waiting for the call before changing the description.

Karl informs me Treherbert calls are intended

Will rely less on F2 to check whether the train has disappeared in future!

I'll add to the manual over the next couple of days, but it's normal for you to want to send both down the branch.

In reality the signaller wouldn't know it was in clear until the driver rang, F2 doesn't exist in reality. Until the driver phones in the sim won't see the token back so you won't be able to send anything else anyway.

Also, even after the train has gone, if the GF is still in use the driver won't call as it's released by the token.

I had thought that "ticket" referred to the normal method of tickets kept in locked boxes unlocked by the staff, but given the lack of a supervising signalman at the other end, I guess the ticket is of a somewhat different form in this case?

VoG: AW7 to AW222 will clear even with the overlap (TAWVDX) showing occupied (due to TCF).

Cardiff: The overlap for 112-114 or 12-114 (Down Relief at Cardiff East) is valid with points 817B in either position, and will allow 817B to swing Normal to Reverse. However, it does not allow it to swing Reverse to Normal, preventing a route being set from 114 into P3/P4 unless the route to 114 is cancelled first (and re-set after).

Could I please ask that people post any simulation issues in the relevant forum thread and not this one.

It makes it a bit easier for me and the testers to follow.

Cardiff 112 / 12 - 114 Reported as 0017019

Assuming these are the points you mean?

As for the SAW 7 - SAW 222, looks like the overlap isn't part of the route. Reported as 17020

Also as Karl said, be easier to keep issues in separate threads to make it easier to follow

If any non-UK (or lesser-travelled) users want to learn how to pronounce some of the Welsh names, this video I found may help:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZ5avfkoHww

You'll hear the Welsh first, followed by English.

Just on the 25/05/2016 timetable and 6J88 needs to reverse Ninian Park - however it says there is no route between signals 322 & LOSDT. You can only set a route from 322 to 324 which of course causes 6J88 to overhang the points so it can't head to Canton Stabling Sidings

From what I can see this looks good, but I do like to see the layout prior to buying as you previously could see but this facility no longer appears available on the product page for the three new sims. Is that because of the new website or am I just going blind?

You can download and run the simulations before purchase. Pick a TT that starts at midnight to have a look at the area, and one of the 1400 starts to get the full daytime experience! The demo mode lasts for around 10 simulation minutes.
