It isn't the current one for some reason downloading the latest system files won't work either. I am stuck on 4 5 13 8 I have tried completely uninstalling SimSig and reinstalling and have lost all my loader sims and am still on the old loader version. So you've downloaded the new system files off of the website and you've installed them? Watch happens when you press check for updates? As for the license manager are you able to log into it? It's the same username and password as you use for this forum. Make sure your firewall isn't blocking it. when I check for updates each update line is followed by file not found on server, I am not at home at the moment so can't do further checks Licence manager is definitely using the same password I get an error message can't connect to server I buy all the sims and have never had a problem before. This is litterally a live step by step guide to an installation I have just done. I've installed the latest available download v4.5.13.11 into a folder C:\X\Simsig. The file versions are SimSigLicense.exe 4.5.13.1 SimSigLoader.exe 4.5.13.8 SimSigRefresher.exe 4.5.13.11 SimSigRefresherA.exe 4.5.13.7 And a couple of other files which are to do with uninstalling. Running Loader it confirms it is v4.5.13.8 and indicates there are NEW updates. Run updates. I went to "advanced" which told me what's available and if I stepped down the list it told me in the detail box what I had and the latest now available. [May also have updated Sims] I told it to make the changes, Windows required me to authorise the changes to be made to my computer. It told me that I'd need to run the update again. Befor running again, I checked the Version numbers and saw that the loader now said 4.5.15.0. I then ran the update and again went to advanced and saw that it's now just the RefreshA that's needing done (though it seems to be the same version as I had). Authorised the further update which went OK and I confirmed that I have the latest loader etc in the folder C:\X Sims were updated in the normal folder for simulations, not the c:\X dummy folder. I could run the loader from there and it picked up the Sims etc, or I could drag all the .exe files to the folder I normally keep them in. Hope that helps, there should not be any need to delete the existing exe files using this method and certainly no need to delete the simulation or timetable folders. It's just the exe files that need updated. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Last edited: 19/03/2017 at 11:06 by Peter Bennet Reason: grammar Log in to reply |

Like others, I've bought the Cardiff multi-pack, clicked on update (it said there were new items), allocated the licences to this PC: and there they aren't in the list of simulations. What have I forgotten, please? Log in to reply |

One slight issue with the updates - after doing the updates twice as prompted, I am still offered an update to RefresherA - repeatedly no matter how many times I check for updates.

Download latest system files and reinstall, then try again. Most people did not install the latest system files as we all thought the refresher would sort this out - but it doesn't at the moment

If it does not work then why not try what I did above? https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/43458?postId=93794 Till you have done that there's little further assistance we can offer. If you have done that then post saying so and we can take it from there. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |

Ginger in post 93838 said:Same here. And if you look at the advanced setting you will see that that is the last version available. Installed: V4.5.13.7 Available: V4.5.13.7 The critical point at the moment is - have you got loader 4.5.15.0 and all the sims updates. I'd suggest not getting too exercised by RefresherA for the time being, I've had that version number for a while now and it does not seem to cause any trouble.
