Hello everybody.. Just something that's been bothering me of late. I know we have a Timetable Editor installed etc, but bow come we don't have access to Scenario Development? To further enhance the feel of the simulator. I know this would require some coding By the developer to implement COSS/PICOP phonecalls, but would be a cool feature to be able to implement into a new timetable. How come we can't do that? That would be a core code matter rather than sim specific, and probably a major change.

Thanks for the replies, I will look at those scenarios thanks! Would be a nice feature, but yes I guess the major change would stop it from happening! Thanks guys, Joshua "There's a right way, a wrong way and the 'railway'" Log in to reply |

Sorry if this is a stupid question, anybody tried the Scenario with the 2016 WTT? Or will that not work? Thanks, Joshua "There's a right way, a wrong way and the 'railway'" Log in to reply |

I don't think the early morning possession will cause you any problems, I can't remember where the evening possession is. You can apply track circuit highlights to set your own closures using the Incident Control Panel (F11), you'll have to imagine the phone calls though. Thanks, I have done that recently, taking Line Blockages that I have taken in real life at the time we took it so see the workload it puts on a signaller using the signals/points we use as blocking points, been pretty useful to see it from 'the other side'. I get a lot of SSOWPs rejected due to Signallers Workload and after trying it myself I can see why! Joshua "There's a right way, a wrong way and the 'railway'" Log in to reply |

Joshua In theory any of the included scenario's could be used with any timetable, although you as the signaller would have to be doing lots of platform changes (potentially), I know with the GHD timetables the possession scenarios have been done to coincide with the actual trains timetabled on that day. I tried this yesterday, I found no issues running the Scenario with an updated timetable, just a little bit more of a challenge! Very good though! If anybody does want some realistic Line Blockages, that we actually use, let me know. Obviously I can not provide the actual COSS/Rimini Packs, but I can tell you the blocking points, protecting signals and a "close enough" time. (Bare in mind, some places are heavily restricted as to what we can take due to the busy area!) "There's a right way, a wrong way and the 'railway'" Log in to reply |
