Hi all, Just a quick one: I know that in certain situations on single lines with track circuit failures, pilotman working is introduced. On the sim, I've got a failure that means that trains have been turned back at Mountain Ash on the Aberdare branch. But how would a slightly different situation be typically dealt with such as a TCF that affects the circuit between A171 and A175, locking it in the up direction? Would down trains be allowed to proceed, or would they have to be turned early? Hope what I've written makes sense! Cheers, Joe Log in to reply |

You can use pilotmen with points operators to manually wind any locked points so you could still run a service. Main issue is that the time it takes is substantially longer than in normal running, so the service would probably be thinned out. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Joe S |
