So I am currently making a timetable on the Lime Street - Runcorn sim and have noticed in the location list that "Waterloo (Merseyside)" is in the list, very strange find as its on the Merseyrail Northern line and no freight goes up that way, just curious as to why its there :-)

I know they do but they are already on the Merseyrail network when they go through Waterloo as they sometimes come on the network from Chester or Ellesmere Port way :-)

It is possible to go from the Up & Down Bootle to the Up & Down Southport. Waterloo is/was the first mandatory timing point after Bootle Jn. Just because there are currently no trains timetabled there does not mean it can't/won't or never happened.
