Scrap this! Just takes 3 minutes to close the crossing...

Having an issue getting Oxford South LC to work.

2016 TT starting at 00:00. Trying to route the first two trains through but having trouble getting the LC crossing down.

The icon automatically moves to closed but then just continues to flash without going steady and suggesting the crossing is closed. Visa versa I can't open the crossing even with no routes set across it, the closed icon just continues to flash.

I can't see any mention of anything I'm doing wrong in the Wiki entry.

This was discussed in this thread.

The crossing is a manual crossing that on sim start, the crossing starts its closing process, it does take quite a long time for it to open and close, one quote I've seen on time taken is 5-8 mins.

Begs the question should the level crossing not be removed from the modern layouts?

No because it is still there and classed as in use, just never used.

As long as there aren't any calls coming through!
