It appears that it is having an update. Are they removing the carriage sidings? https://www.globalrailwayreview.com/news/61434/engineering-waterloo-upgrade/?utm_content=buffer5bef6&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer Barry Barry, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Last edited: 09/08/2017 at 01:43 by BarryM Reason: edit Log in to reply |

Looks like they've been going on for sometime... Note the PPE gear used in the bottom right.... In Zone 6, no one can hear you scream... Log in to reply |

Possession Item 5 taken at 01:00 on Saturday morning and will remain in force until the end of August to allow platforms 1-4 possibly 5 & 6 as well to be extended for 10 car operation. Paul You have to get a red before you can get any other colour Log in to reply |

Currently in the process of making one myself. Makes it harder that there's no platform allocations for P11-19 its all adhoc. Regarding the carriage sidings, they are only removing 1, with the remaining one being extended to 10 coaches and having no country end exit. The track layout at Queenstown Road and Waterloo International has changed since the sim was released. That will make things somewhat more challenging unless I get some updated scheme plans!

Using a base plan sent to me from a friend in Train planning for stock and Real Time Trains for timing. The biggest challenge as geoff said is working around the new point work in place which they are using during the blockade like the new UWF - REV points and the UWL - DWF section of track country side of queenstown road.

Will look forward to any timetable incorporating this possession... Also, intrigued to know where the Southeastern trains will be coming from to run in to the old International Platforms... Sadly not mine, would be so handy for work Log in to reply |

The collision during the possession appears to have been caused by a very alarming wrong-side failure: RAIB said: The collision occurred because a set of points were misaligned and directed the passenger train away from its intended route. The misalignment was a consequence of a temporary modification to the points control system which also caused the train driver and signaller to receive indications that the points were correctly aligned.Full article: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/collision-near-london-waterloo-station-15-august-2017 "Don't stress/ relax/ let life roll off your backs./ Except for death and paying taxes/ everything in life.../ is only for now."
