In Era 2011, timetable Oxford 15th October 2009;
Made a route from 67 to 135, got the shunt signal but 1V80 would not accept it.

Repeated with 1O18

If "Jericho" track is down only, should the route be available?

Dave

I belive the Dn Jericho is the line that allows Oxford to London Marylebone trains to gain access to the bichester line, and as such the line is signaled for trains to travel in the down direction only. The trains and route you are trying to signal, 67 to 167, is in the UP direction and therefore not a valid route for a passenger train under normal circumstances.

It’s (essentially) classified as a goods line when you use it wrong-direction; hence the shunt aspect not main aspect. There should be an “accept route onto goods line option” in the telephone call.

The 2009 TT should be run in the 2009 era (I thought I put that in the description) and there aren’t any passenger trains booked to use the UPL between Wolvercote and Oxford North. If you do have to send a Passenger train up the loop; it’s should really cross back to the Up Main at Oxford North (67 > 15) - going up the Down Jericho would require special authority from the local management.

As a general rule of thumb; if you’re having to route a passenger train up to a shunt Aspect; you’re sending it the wrong way.

@JamesN - when you say "The 2009 TT should be run in the 2009 era" I assume you mean the 2011 TT should be run in the 2009 era.

Excellent SIM by the way - deceptively involving from what looks like a simple layout at first glance.

No I definitely mean the 2009 TT should be run with the 2009 era.

I think the point is that you need to use the Main line throughout and go from signal 19 to the respective platform, instead of using the pass loop and Jericho line.

In the 2016 era, it is a valid route for passengers, but it is slower than the main line and thus still not recommended.

Today's Oxford is even more different, the layout after the latest resignalling is not simulated at present.

Embarrassment abounds... I read your statement as "the 2009 TT should NOT be run with the 2009 era"...
